Praise works wonders (Part 1)
Text: Psalm 67:5-7
If the source of your problem is God, you have a big problem; If the source of your problem is You, you have some problem; But if the source of your problem is the devil, you have no problem!
Here’s why: You can walk out of the devil for free when you have the right keys to open the prison doors you’re shut in.
Praise is the master key to break every chain and open every prison doors of the devil. Paul and Silas were imprisoned in Acts 16:14-26 but in verse 25-27, the Bible makes us understand:
“And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed. And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.”
Praise is one of the simplest, yet most potent weapon of warfare. Praise is the cheapest access to God.
Praise handles the toughest problems of life. When you don’t know what to do, Praise is what to do. Th greatest obstacle of life will never require more than praise to become a miracle.
Praise makes things work cheaply. A man of praise continues to go from victory to victory, triumph to triumph.
What’s in praise?
(1) Preservation of Blessings: Mal 2:1-3
“And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you. If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart. Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall take you away with it.”
(2) Supernatural harvest: Ps 67:5-7
“Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.”
(3) Supernatural deliverance: Acts 16:25-27.
(4) Supernatural multiplication: Whatever you thank God for, never finishes. Luke 9:16-17
“Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude. And they did eat, and were all filled: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets.”
(5) Eternal life: John 11:41-44.
“Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.”
